Often players in the fall league are there to work on an aspect of their game rather than be concerned with end results. A friend's son played in the fall to learn how to catch. It was one more position to help him get to the majors as a utility player. The kid said catching was like Godzilla versus Bambi. The ball was Godzilla and he was Bambi. Another friend's son is getting some reps in the fall league after being out injured for a majoity of the season.
