Good question. I assume BR is out, thus removing the force from R1, so he can stay at 1st.

If we delay dead ball it, R1 is going to freak out and run to 2nd, and the D will get a DP.

If we call BR out right away, maybe R1 gets that he can stay at 1st.

I'm going to guess we call the BR out immediately. As usual, at work so can't look anything up.
