The Allen Wranglers baseball club will host tryouts on Sunday, November 13 from 1-3pmat The Gabe at Craig Ranch (McKinney). **Due to a conflict with the AHS program, we will NOT be having a tryout on Saturday, Nov 12.**
We will have one combined team for 17-18U players for the Summer '12 season. Plans are to participate in Lone Star and BBI leagues (totalling ~30 games) during the week and ~6 weekend tournaments, for a total of 55+ games over a 10 week period.
We have a core group of our team returning, but all positions are open, as our current group is very flexible with positioning. PO's are welcome.
We keep the roster small (13 position players, 2 PO's last summer) in order to maximize playing time and showcase all of our players. All position players received at least 100 plate appearances for the summer (verifiable statistics available upon request), so everyone plays a lot. Most were at 135+. No one sits the bench for extended periods if you make the team.
Cost will be ~$1500...includes all team equipment, league and tourney fees, practice facility rental, uniform tops (2) and fitted caps (2). Basically, the only thing it doesn't include is travel cost.
No fee to tryout, but please let us know if you are planning to try out, in case there is a last-minute change in venue/time.
