Like FoxDad noted, usually when there’s a HS pitcher out there legitimately throwing 90+, it’s a circus. A couple years back we had one of those and were getting 10 scouts showing up to pre-season scrimmages, and sometimes literally dozens for games. I wasn’t counting the scouts, but they’re usually pretty easy to spot, and I didn’t see more than a handful.
I’ll say it again. The kid definitely has some juice, but 96+? I don’t think a lot of lay parents really understand how freakin’ fast that is for a ML pitcher, let alone a HS pitcher.
