As a non-official Gamechanger guy, if it's questionable I go to the coaches and get their assessment. So it's not on me. But back to the op, the coach cannot be wavering here. Be assertive and nip it in the bud. Lay down a protocol on how to deal with it, but it better not be during or just after a game (if I'm the coach).
