Avoid the Hampton Inn. One year our catcher left his gear in his mom's car and someone broke the window and took everything. Yes, that is a rookie mistake but still. There is not a ton of crime around that area but the Hampton Inn is right off the LIE, easy on and easy off and they took Luke's stuff, not cool.

My wife thinks I'm paranoid for always bringing our son's gear bag into the room each night....
