Avoid the Hampton Inn. One year our catcher left his gear in his mom's car and someone broke the window and took everything. Yes, that is a rookie mistake but still. There is not a ton of crime around that area but the Hampton Inn is right off the LIE, easy on and easy off and they took Luke's stuff, not cool.

When we were at HF in Sacramento, staying at the Hyatt Place where a teammate had his gear stolen a few years back, my kid went to the car to retrieve his gear and somehow managed to lock my keys in the back, which of course we didn't figure out until it was time to load up the next morning. Talk about a rookie mistake!
