My son was a fringe LHP. He had some walk on offers from Big State U. He wanted a small liberal Arts college, and the D1's that fit that category were not interested.

He had many D3 opportunities. He was very happy with his choice. He went D3.

But if he went the walk on route he may have been happy with that as well.
