University of Texas at Dallas Earn First-Ever At-Large Bid Into NCAA Div. III National Tourney.

ORANGE, CA - A 32-11 record, national rankings and a tougher non-conference schedule has earned the UTD baseball team its first-ever at-large invitation to the national NCAA Division III Baseball Championship Tournament. UTD will join fellow American Southwest Conference member Texas Lutheran and Austin College in a seven-team, double-eimination West Regional Tournament, beginning Wednesday at Chapman University in Orange, CA. The Comets will open against George Fox University of Oregon (30-9) at 11:30 am local time (9:30 am PDT) Wednesday.
