I stopped in Omaha on my way back from Minneapolis Saturday and got a chance to watch Barry Zito pitch for the Nashville Sounds. His fastball sat 79-82 all game and his curve was coming in at 69-72mph. He absolutely dominated for six innings. He probably threw 80% fastballs and only had a couple hit out of the infield. It was nice to see, though I wonder what his chances of ever making it back to the bigs are having lost that much on the fastball.
