Reply to "Bat drag"

I'm guessing his back elbow is down at toe touch.  This is the cause most of the time.  With the elbow down, there's no place left to go but to push the elbows forward ahead of your hands.

 

Video him, and freeze it at toe touch.  If that's what he's doing,  then have him practice his stride until he gets his elbow up. (It doesn't matter where his elbow is in the stance.)

 

The video will also confirm that he actually has bat drag.
