Boy, I sure wish I had stumbled upon this thread (or otherwise had the foresight to consider its obvious points) prior to taking my son's exit velo today. Used an aluminum bat and a bucket of good balls, both of which had been in freezing temps in the car trunk overnight. His velo was down 6 MPH since November, despite constant lifting, etc. What a bummer....
