Reply to "Ben Ford - Barry Bonds"

I was sitting with a couple of very highly-touted HS pitchers at a college baseball game the other night just after word reached us that #661 was hit (we didn't know off who). I asked them, "if you were facing Bonds and he could hit #661 off you, would you challenge him or pitch around him?"

Both immediately repsonded they would, without a doubt, challenge him. Youthful exhuberence? Probably. But I know they BOTH would have loved to have been in young Mr. Ford's place the other day.

Congratulations to Barry Bonds and congratulations to young Ben Ford for being good enough to be a part of history. Might not have felt too great at the time, but he's got a story for his grandkids now.
