Reply to "Best Baseball Memory"

I too hope to have many more. There are a few to pick from, but for me the best one happened on the back end of a double header in my son's (12 yr old) last fall ball game this year. We were tied with this team for first, so the winner of the game wins out. The head coach gives my son the ball. Now I'm a little concerned because my son is coming off a terrible sinus infection, and he has 2 starts (both complete game wins) already against this team. I ask him how he feels while he's warming up..and I get the "fine" answer. He gives up a lead off single (and I'm a little nervous). He shrugs it off and strikes out the next 9. He gave up 1 other hit and totalled 16 k's. No walks, no runs and finishes the game. After the umpires finish congratulating him, son walks up to us and his mother asks him.."What was up with you tonight bud?! What made you pitch so well?!"...his reply..."I just wanted to go home and go to bed". He was alseep before we left the parking lot.
