The rankings don't really mean much until the RPI is published.

There are a lot of really good D1 programs that don't ever get mentioned. They work very hard at winning, so that they can win their conference championships, get the trophy and a ring. Their goal is to get a bid to a regional.

Unfortunately those teams don't sell online subscriptions.
