Great write up and information.  I was struck by the fact that you did a lot of the communication with the coaches both before and after the camp.  I have gotten the impression here, and from other sources, that the players should always be the one reaching out to coaches and following up.  Have coaches been open to communication from you rather than your son generally throughout his recruiting process?

Yeah, it definitely breaks the hsbbweb advice for sure. but my son has ADD and other than that is just a typical high school kid. Not a lot of executive function and not a self starter. And I'm no better. What I should have done was sat down with him and drafted a note to the coach for him to send, but I was lazy and had a suspicion the coach would quickly figure out I ghost wrote it for him.

Really strange, but for the most part coaches have been very responsive. The only team that was NEVER responsive, never got back to me or my son, was Cal Lutheran. Not sure why.
