Bobblehead-I also agree with what you are saying but it sounds like to me that your son was mature for his age and handled his business rather successfully. I understand alot of parents feel as though that they are being a coaches dream by staying out of the picture but that is not the case in most situations. It's up to each set of parents but my advice would be that a phone call per semester never hurts. In know way am I referring to you but alot of parents in their kids college career at one time or another tell themselves "If I would have only known".
