Lovethegame2 - I don't think the scouts will have any trouble finding a kid over 6 ft. tall throwing 90 or more in the Spring...small school or not...especially in "The South" as your location says. If a D1 found him, the scouts already know about him or will find him.

College/pro decision is a complex one for most families. College is more than just college...its an experience and a foundation for the future. Pro ball is much more than just playing ball...its also a (different) experience and a (different) education. I have difficulty finding words to describe the significant differences.

Attending a showcase is fine. You will find some answers there, but not all. I may be right or I may be wrong...but the tone of your initial posts suggests to me a certain 'innocence' and I will guess(?) that you will have to educate yourself and overcome that 'innocence' between now and decision time.
