Someone forget to tell the players that they were expected not to get a lot of runs with the new bats.

James Madison racked up 37 runs on Bucknell, UNC Wilmington 20 on Jacksonville.

FSU's 12 runs wasn't unusual, LSU 15,UCIrvine 17,Charlotte 18,Southern 19, NCstate 17.

I can't remember seeing such high scores as I have this first day of D1 baseball.

Are the hitters that good or the pitching that bad?
