You're right, Curran "Cubby" Shane was on that 14U BF team - only kid on the team who wasn't used as a pitcher at some point. Great middle infielder, though. At times, I think we could have laid his uniform on the ground, sprinkled seeds on it, added water and grown a garden. He was always sacrificing his body. Small world we have in our baseball community.
