If our sons were asked, they answered it honestly. They did not answer the 'how much?' question as its our view that its personal information.

Don't really know if it hurt or helped - but I do know they usually found out anyways even if they didn't ask.

Competition is good - you'll only hurt yourself if you embellish the truth and name schools that haven't really pursued your son. They find that out too I assume.
