I played against Mike (shall we nickname him Lil' Merc?) throughout high school in New York. While pitching against the World Yacht Clippers during the summers, I had to learn how to manage the running game very quickly because I couldn't seem to find any way to get Mike out, and my catchers couldn't really seem to find a way to throw him out (and I had some pretty good catchers). It comes as no surprise to me that he is doing very well at the collegiate level.

Congrats to Coach Merc and to Rob Kremer (whos son I haven't had the opportunity to play against, but I have been following throughout the spring due to the good graces of his father on this website) for a very great showing individually out of their respective sons.
