Congratulations to both Dad's and their Sons

What a great thing for these young men to have earned the opportunity to compete at such a high level ... and for Lil' Merc to have earned the headlines in the post-game write-up on the DUKE website.

Special congrats go out to Coach Merc, because I know he can proudly claim more than one "son" on the HPU team. A number of his Clippers are now competing for the Panthers.

At our house, we had a special interest in the game, hoping to see if Duke walk-on Josh Ruffin might take the mound. SP_son played with Josh one year in HS. Little used in HS, Josh went to Duke as any other student; played club ball in the fall; and earned an invite to a walk-on try-out this spring ... and made the team.

Best wishes to young Mercurio, Kremer & Ruffin in their collegiate baseball careers ... and betond.
