My sons situation was different but a similar problem. He transfered from one HS to another in Oct of Jr year. He never gave the new coach any to fill out. He either used information from the summer teams, (more competitive anyway) or had his previous HS coach respond. Where it asked for HS coaches information, he also always put down the former coach since the new school coach had only seen him play once.

I personally don't belive any of this made a difference. Only ND actually made a phone call to the coach.
