I am not sure that certification is required right away, I think that they give you time.

Where I am from (Broward County) most people substitute in certain schools than wait for an opening. Also, most coaches here are school board employees, if it is a private school, it's not necessary.

The pay in FL is not good for teachers, however there is no state income tax.

You can do a job search by county or contact dept of education.
