Thanks for your concern Florida Baseball Guy. All I can say is keep your eye out for the FCSL because it is coming. The plan for this league has been in the works for a while now and is picking up momentum each and everyday.
As for college players, we never envisioned our league "taking" players away from the big summer programs (at least not yet), but rather to afford others their chance at competing in a great program.
Be assured that the league will be run the "right way" as we have quality people in key positions within the program. In addition, would it be fair to say to a deserving young man that he will have to wait til next year because others question whether the League has time to pull it off? I think not.
As previously stated, the FCSL will go forward this year only if it is truly ready. We will make that decision in the weeks to come. So, in the meatime stay tuned for the next college summer league,...the Florida Collegiate Summer League!
