The bat isn't all that important if you can play the game. Otherwise, players would get to pick their bats. That, and the bat contract the coach gets. My son swung nothing but an EXO from 13u through high school. Then he had a choice of a Demarini, a Demarini or a Demarini. He chose the Demarini. He had seen Voodoos in the bat rack in high school and travel. So he started using it.

He used a Demarini F2 when he was eleven and twelve. It was the "in" bat then. Kids will use whatever is in. What's in? Look and see who's mashing the ball. That bat will become the local in bat.
