I don't know what to say, if your son was their top recruit, they would have waited or put on more pressure.
If all you say is so, my son would have moved on after that phone call.
Don't be discourages, don't let your son be discouraged.
All I can say is that waiting may have been a good thing, if he really wanted to attend, if he really felt comfortable he would not have hesitated. Sometimes things do happen for a reason.
