Yes, that is true in many cases. It's always best to learn from mistakes made by others (if mistakes have been made) rather than the old fashioned "hard way"!

TPM, I would correct one thing you've mentioned.

The goal should always be for the advisor to benefit (that's business). It's how the advisor benefits and how much the player benefits that counts. It has to be about the player first. Afterall, the player is the key ingredient! Sadly, in some cases, the player is the one being pawned.

As many with experience here and others who will find out in the future... Baseball (athletics for that matter) is not a squeaky clean business at any level.
