Most colleges have scout days. It is no big deal and they usually talk to players they are interested in but not always.
Velocity is even more important at JR year since many players are nearing their potential. My son's scout day got rained out last week so it is rescheduled for thsi week.
Last year we had a couple freshmen throwing 90s and one hit 94. They didn't talk to them but were impressed.
