After starting the season 0 for 12, my kid hit a 400 foot bomb over the left center wall for his first HR, and his first hit (!) of the summer.

It’s definitely been a challenge, his first summer college league adjusting to the wood bat and tougher competition. He’s had some good AB’s (drew a walk, sac RBI, a bomb that went foul by 5 feet, and a gapper that the CF made a great play on) and some not so good AB’s. Fun to see him making adjustments….
