COURTLAND 6, EASTERN VIEW 1

Cougars starter Alex Kobersteen went the distance, benefiting from four double plays turned by the Courtland defense in the Conference 19 quarterfinals.

Tommy Haught was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Trevor Ferares was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in for the Cougars (9–12), who visit King George in tonight’s semifinals.

David Laird singled and scored the Cyclones’ lone run.

CHANCELLOR 7, CAROLINE 1

Mason Riser went the distance to get the win on the mount and finished 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI for Chancellor in a Conference 19 quarterfinal win played at Lee-Davis High School.

Jordan Fowler added two hits and two RBIs, and Matt Morgan had a single, a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Chargers (11–8), who face Louisa in today’s semifinals at King George.

Cole Grinde homered for Caroline’s lone run.
