Cougars starter Alex Kobersteen went the distance, benefiting from four double plays turned by the Courtland defense in the Conference 19 quarterfinals.
Tommy Haught was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Trevor Ferares was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in for the Cougars (9–12), who visit King George in tonight’s semifinals.
David Laird singled and scored the Cyclones’ lone run.

Jordan Fowler added two hits and two RBIs, and Matt Morgan had a single, a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Chargers (11–8), who face Louisa in today’s semifinals at King George.
Cole Grinde homered for Caroline’s lone run.
