Kaleb Stowe came within one out of a no-hitter, striking out eight in the Chargers’ nonconference win.

Chris Ortega had a double with an RBI and a run scored, and Jordan Fowler had a hit and scored for Chancellor.

Garrett Johnson and Austin Castle had hits for Spotsylvania, which plays at Courtland on Friday.

Chancellor (2–8) hosts King George on Friday.

D.J. Ahalt had an RBI for the Cougars and Tommy Haught also drove in a run for Courtland (5–2), which entertains Spotsylvania on Friday.
