OMG it was hot, 110 deg in the dark (would have been shade but the sun had set

). But it was a superb tournament and very well run. Of course I hate to see "ties" but AABC has a schedule to keep.

However field 4 was so hard that 5 or 6 times I witnessed a ball topped by a wood bat bounce off the dirt circle around home plate and carry the infielders into the outfied for a base hit.

Congrats to the Firebirds. Their winning gave peace to my AZ host family!
