If I am not mistaken players have to be nominated to make the pre season all american Louisville Slugger team by their Coach. I nominated a kid a few years back and he made it and he should have. This may be the reason some of the more notable players from the west coast are not on the list. Also there are some very good players from other areas not on the list. Having said that I know many of the kids on the list and they are very deserving to say the least. Anything that gives credit to HS baseball players is nice to see. You will never have a list of any kind like this that will not leave out some deserving kid. That does not mean that it is not good thing to have. JMHO
