For any kid to start as a freshman, that tells you something. To start at first base -- usually a position where any number of big slugger types are vying to play -- tells you a lot.
And then the way the kid came in to a one-run game for first place in the district and was completely in charge ....
I have a feeling we may be hearing more about this kid the next few years.
