Boy, can I relate. I was showing folks in my office pics of my wife in her Holloween costume as Wild Thing Ricky Vaughn from "major league". .. name and number on the jersey, perfect replica glasses and hat. Not one person knew who the heck it was. "oh, she's a baseball player" Ugghhh.
