Some tap into alumni networks for group deals, others have dedicated staff that help the athletes navigate the rules. Some (like LSU) have both. Most of the WBB players I know got a lot of the deals on their own and not through the university.

That's actually how it is supposed to work!

Many of the athletes that have gained fame and fortune are women! Many athletes have profited from their NIL by endorsing products they personally use and believe in.
