I can second the point that no two financial aid packages are alike. I have two boys going to high academic schools and their packages were not just different but different enough for me to write one of the schools and ask for a review because their package was so much lower than the other package. They ultimately raised the offer but still not to the level of the other school’s offer. There is still a substantial difference. These are two colleges that have practically identical endowments and admission rates.
