As for the two teams, my guys played both, tieing DBAT in our only chance, and having several very close games with Banditos but never getting "over the hump" against 'em. Ray's bunch, on pure talent, was without parallel. DBAT, however, was the best "team" I saw in 14U last year. We were also in AZ with them last summer, and they played as well as any team could play in winning a very strong tournament at 60/90 littered with the best teams from the West. Things change from year-to-year, but DBAT has to be considered at the top of the list in D/FW.
With your comments you must be part of the Red Dogs Baseball Club. Thanks for the kind words. The Banditos by far assembled some of the best talent in the Houston area; the Red Dogs were very good as well. We appreciated some of your parent staying on in AZ and cheering for DBAT. The Red Dogs IV had a tremendous amount of heart and I love players like that. As stated we did beat them (Ray) in pool play and we enjoyed playing them. Regarding Ray, once you get past all the stage acting, he is really a good guy and fun to be around. At least, I enjoyed talking with him. Also, he does know baseball talent. We'll see him again somewhere this summer. I heard Big Ray has team is Austin now? True or False?
