Reply to "Dead Period—D1 transfers"

For whatever it’s worth, you seem different as of late.  Very short with other people as well in multiple post, when it seems entirely unwarranted.  With that said, I hope all is well with you.

Weather my post was worthy of your implied exasperation I will leave for you and others to decide.

Basketball and football bring in tons of money for programs. So that is why I left them out of the discussion.

The original question was about transfering to another program during the dead period (without much info when asked).

D1 baseball players CAN transfer, just not to another D1, and if unless special exception, they have to sit out a year.

Do you know why this is the rule? The reason I am asking is because of situations which occurred years ago. Not being a smart ass just wondering if you know why the rule came to be in place (not that I necessarily agree with it all).
