Reply to "DECISION on FM TRANSFER IS IN"

As a recent transfer, we knew going in that we needed to be in our new district at the start of the school year. You still need to get your prior coaches approval, but it is much harder to deny at the start of the year. We also knew that if we left before school was out for the year, we were going to play sub varsity. If you know this up front, it is hard to argue with the results of this particular appeal. I think there is more than enough recruiting between seasons, we don't need this during any season. I personally think it is a good rule, and it keeps kids from changing schools during the year. By the way, we didn't move for athletic reasons, but we knew the consequences anyway.

Most club teams have a contract that is signed before the season and you will be held to it if it is to the club's benefit. You will not be allowed to change select teams during the season and they have a signature to back it up. Or that has been my experience anyway. I don't remember signing any contract with UIL, but if I play in their sanction, I expect to play by their rules.

Just an opinion.
