I have a HS DH Rule question for the community. What's your thought? I know a DH can be used for a defensive fielder. Can the defensive fielder be substituted and the DH remains batting in the same spot. Example DH is hitting for the CF at the start of the game. In the 3rd inning we make a fielding change and the CF comes out of the game and we bring in from the bench a new 3B and the 3B isn't going to bat the DH will still keep his spot in the line up. Is this legal so far? Then later on we make a pitcher change but this time the pitcher is a new player and the 3B goes out of the game and the new pitcher isn't batting. Can the same DH stay in the DH role, still batting in the same spot of the line up, for the entire game, with all these Non-hitting defensive substitutions. Sounds legal for high school but I wanted to double check. Thanks community for your input.
