DII REDSHIRT OR DIII

basically the options are to attend a local DII and almost guaranteed to be a freshman redshirt or attend a DIII far away and probably get some playing time 1st year. I know there are a lot of other variables involved but what do you do ? If you have any information on being a redshirt, or positives and negatives about redshirting please let me know...
