For the young HS junior or Senior who desires to play in a competitive baseball program, I will suggest

the schools who I have watched play at SSU for the past 30 years.

The CCAA conference has SSU, coached by John Goelz, Cal State Monterrey, coached by Walter White former coach at SSU and professional infielder with the Diamondbacks, SF State, coached by Mike Cummins, former Santa Clara coach.

The Pac West conference includes Academy of the Arts coached by Brian Guinn former MLB players; Cal Baptist is coached by Gary Adcock, UCLA and our American player for the Goodwill Series in Korea. Joey Estrella is coaching a UH Hilo, a beautiful campus on the "Big" Island.

The "common tread" for the coaches are they are human and understand the young player and his new situation to be a Student/Athlete.
