Just wondering how open college coaches are amongst each other about recruits. In one case, it was as though a certain coach had my son's Top 5 list right in front of him, even though we never tipped our hand and hadn't yet listed any schools with the Clearinghouse. Is it merely from standing shoulder to shoulder at showcases, or do these guys actively discuss prospects, as in, "Hey Bob, how'd you ever let Jimmy slip through your fingers and come visiting MY campus?" Or, "Got any extra middle infield prospects who can bat leftie?" I assumed they kept their cards close to their vest during recruiting, but some we've seen are too far apart geographically for this to have been shared inadvertently.
