I saw a sign the other day (I forget where I saw it) that read "You don't deserve anything". I like that...too many kids think they deserve to make the team, they deserve more playing time, they deserve to play SS, they deserve to pitch, they deserve to bat third, etc.

No, you deserve the chance to come to practice 5-6 days per week (for high school) and work your a$$ off and earn all that stuff. You do that, and you won't have to talk to me about what you "deserve".
