Reply to "East Coast Hot Dog Buns?"

Just a few weeks ago I had a hotdog in the Chicago Airport. Believe it or not, it was a "Nathan's" Chicago Style Hot Dog.

Can't say it was the best ever, but it was pretty darned good for an Airport dog!

I've always wondered... Is it the condiments that seperate a Chicago Style Hot Dog from all other Hot Dogs? Or is it something else? Confused

I've also been confused with Chicago and New York Pizza. Is one thick and one thin? Here in the farming communities of Iowa, we have both types. We just order thin crust or thick crust.

How does a piece of a cow from Iowa end up being called a New York Strip? Confused
