Was someone referring to the land of OZ in Iowa??? Ut-hum,...Dorothy was from Kansas,..so I get to claim all the glory! HA-HA!!! ( hey,..when you're living in Kansas ya gotta scratch & claw to claim all that you can! tee -hee! No punn intended TPM! )
Kansas,..the great plains state,....& corn!!
Corn everywhere,..yummy-sweet-raw-right-off-the stock and bite-into-it yummy! No cooking needed!
And if I do say so myself,...best BBQ is in a local dive,... er,..uhhh " establishment " in the downtown heart of Kansas City! Even the Food Channel agreed! ha! ( nothing like having friends with clout to back ya up!)
The name escapes me,..but the shack/...er uh,... " building " is colored HOT PINK!!
Hot fried doughey things? Wonder if those are anything like the fresh fried malasadas from Hawaii,...fried fresh in a huge pot of boiling oil, served blazin' hot, and dusted with the perfect amount of sugar! Eat an entire grease dripping bag of em', right by the beach!!
Ahhh,...no wonder its called paradise,...dude/ette.
Perhaps we should throw in a rockin' Mait Tai with those malasadas,.....at sunset!
