Eckersly is no "typical drunk". He is an admitted alcoholic who has been sober now for many years. He became a born-again Christian and credits that for saving his career and turning his life around. He talks freely and frequently on the subject, not just out of candor but also to help others to recover as well.

Which makes someone who would label him a "typical drunk" a typical you-know-what.
